Tri-City Bible Church is looking for their next assistant youth pastor. He will be a man of exemplary character, and possessing the biblical qualifications of a Deacon. He should be a compelling and humble leader, able to fulfill the responsibility of shepherding the youth of our church while also contributing to the overall health of the flock. In order to fit well with the culture and goals of Tri-City Bible Church, he should confidently ascribe to our Statement of Faith, and be prepared to explain his philosophy of youth ministry, and the theology behind it.
He will be expected to manage the youth ministry budget, assist in planning and facilitation youth retreats, and develop additional leaders who will help disciple and minister to our church families.
As an active member of this local church, there should be a desire on his part to disciple and love the flock he serves through the use of his spiritual gifts, and participation in church ministries and activities. With a humble attitude, and servant’s heart, he will work alongside various ministry leaders, and the under the supervision of the Senior Pastor. Based on the fact that this is a teaching role, there will be an opportunity for this person to pursue eldership if he is gifted, qualified, and has that aspiration.
We are presently a church of less than 200 members, but meet in a large and beautifully refurbished sanctuary that could support a congregation of over 700. As we continue to pursue our goal to revitalize this once influential church in the heart of North County San Diego, we do so with humble and complete dependence on God for what he will choose to do with us in the future.
At the present time, we gather for one corporate worship service every Sunday from 10:30am – 12:00pm, and one evening service every month. The youth ministry meets every Sunday from 9:00am – 10:00am for fellowship and teaching, and also on Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm – 8:30pm in a church owned home adjacent to the campus.
At this stage in our ministry, the role does not qualify as a full-time position. However, there may be opportunities for additional work at our K-12 school (Tri-City Christian School), or at the church should that become necessary. Compensation will be between $1500 – $1750 per month depending on the candidates experience and availability.
