About Grace Community Church - Auburn, ME
Grace Community Church began as an independent church plant led by David and Kimberly Bochtler. After meeting for some time in small gatherings throughout Auburn, ME, the current building was purchased in 2012. We have modern worship and prior to COVID-19 had an active Children’s Ministry from birth to adolescence. We believe in serving the community through active support of the homeless and those conquering substance abuse.
As we look to the future, we see vacancies in responsibilities that we would like filled. We desire an Assistant Pastor, to fill three main areas of responsibility. Our long-term desire is to transition this pastor to a senior role. In the past few years we have seen the deacon/deaconess and elder board of the church lose momentum and we are looking for leadership to reestablish these governing positions. The ideal candidate for this position will be willing to be mentored by Pastor Dave in preparation to become Senior Pastor.
There is much that Grace Community Church offers its members through teaching and support, small groups and bible studies. We also look forward to continuing our community service in the area, as well as, welcoming newcomers that are wanting to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
The supreme mission of the church, and so also of every individual believer, is to glorify God and to serve Him forever (Eph. 3:21; Rom. 11:36; I Pet. 4:11). Therefore, if what we do as a church, or as individuals, cannot serve the glory of God, it should not be done.
